Environmental training ongoing in Nimba County

NIMBA COUNTY, LIBERIA-More than forty participants from various Government ministries and agencies are attending a four-day Environmental Training in Nimba County.

The training is held under the auspices of the Cross-Cutting Capacity Development Project, in collaboration with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), with support from the United Nations Development Program.

Speaking at the start of the training, recently, Assistant Mines and Energy Minister for Planning Research and Development, Johnson Willabo, described the training on the environment as important.

Minister Willabo said:” There is a need for adequate information sharing on Liberia’s role in maintaining the environment locally and internationally.”

In remarks, former Finance Minister Augustine Ngafuan urged the participants to take advantage of the training.
