Nat’l Com. on Higher Education to weed out institutions operating without permit

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Acting Director General of the National Commission on Higher Education is cautioning institutions of higher learning operating without permit, to desist.

Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, in Paynesville, Dr. David Dahn said:” Several institutions of higher learning across the Country are illegally offering degrees without referencing the Commission.”

He named the Gamalia International Christian College in Bahn, Nimba County, and the Domeh University College of Science and Technology and the Saint College of Professional Studies, both in Paynesville, among others, as institutions of higher learning bent on such act.

Dr.Dahn said the Gamalia International Christian College has had more than two graduation ceremonies, and is planning another in September this year.

Dr. Dahn further noted that the Commission will weed out institutions engaged in malpractices in the education sector for the good of Liberia.
