MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has congratulated the Government and people of Russia on the occasion commemorating the National Day of that Country.

In the message to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, President Weah wished the Russian Leader good health and success, as well as the Government and people of Russia as they celebrate that historical day.

A Foreign Ministry release issued over the weekend quotes President Weah as assuring his Russian counterpart that he looks forward to a greater cooperation with the Russian Federation.

According to the release, the Liberian Leader also expressed hope that both countries will strengthen their relations through high level engagements.
