Finance Ministry yet to submit Nat’l Draft Fiscal Budget 2020-2021

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The House of Representatives says it has received a communication from the Ministry of Finance requesting another date for the submission of the 2020-2021 National Draft Fiscal Budget.

According to ELBC Legislative Reporter, the communication is pending official submission by President George Weah.

In the communication the Finance Ministry said the formulation of the draft the budget is experiencing constraints.

The Ministry asserted that it continues to explore options outside of Liberia fiscal space, including mobilizing additional external resources to support the Country’s recovery and development efforts.

The Finance Ministry said that the technical details are being worked out with partners for the submission of the National Draft Fiscal Budget before June 20, 2020.
