Liberians deported for multiple crimes from the United States

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Eight Liberians have been deported to Liberia after they were found guilty of committing multiple state crimes in the United States.

They were found guilty of murder, burglary, smuggling and theft among others.

According to the Director of Communication at the Liberia Immigration Service (LIS) Abraham Dolley, twelve Liberians were expected to be deported, but four took an appeal in the United States.

He told ELBC Wednesday, May 27, 2020, that the deportees arrived in the Country on Wednesday morning at the Roberts International Airport, and were turned over to Health Authorities for mandatory observation for fourteen days.

He explained that following the observation period, the deportees will go through the regular profiling at the LIS Headquarters before reuniting them with their families.
