MONROVIA, LIBERIA ( Varflay Kamara Reports)-The Chairman of the Council of Patriots, Henry Costa, has been arrested at the Lungi International Airport in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Speaking to ELBC Wednesday, the Director of Communications at the LIS, Abraham Dolley, said they were informed by their Sierra Leonean counterparts on Tuesday that Mr. Costa has been arrested.

Prior to this latest development, Mr. Costa has been invited by Liberian Immigration authorities to face investigation on allegations of forgery and theft of a lessee passé he used to enter Liberia from Ghana on December 19, 2019.

Mr. Dolley said modalities are being worked out to ensure the extradition of Mr. Costa to Liberia.

He named Forgery and Theft as crimes that have been established and acknowledged with Mr. Costa and his lawyers based on preliminary investigation.
