MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ambassador of China to Liberia, Yin Chengwu, has paid tribute to former Liberian President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf for her foundational contributions that solidified China-Liberia relations during her tenure.
During a special visit to the former Liberian Head of State on the occasion marking her 88th birthday, Ambassador Yin wished her joy, robust health and longevity.
A dispatch from the Chinese Embassy said the meeting was characterized by deep reflection on the cordial ties built between the two nations over the years.
Responding, Madam Johnson-Sirleaf praised the current trajectory of Liberia-China relations, noting that the partnership has remained resilient and mutually beneficial.
The former President also expressed deep appreciation to Ambassador Yin Chengwu and urged both nations to strengthen friendly cooperation across various fields.
