Pres. Boakai Charges Additional Gov. Officials to Improve Public Service Delivery

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has commissioned additional officials of the Government of Liberia to enhance public service delivery.

Those commissioned are Youth and Sports Minister Cornelia Kruah, National Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority Director General Cyrus Saygbe, and Deputy Education Minister for Planning, Research and Development, Thomas Parker, among others.

President Boakia admonished the newly commissioned officials to serve with utmost integrity and commitment.

He noted that serving with integrity and commitment in public service remains cardinal to Liberia’s advancement.

The Liberian Leader said,” If Liberia must develop, those entrusted to lead must lead with shared commitment and dedication”.

The President, however, underscored the need for public officials to align their functions at their respective institutions with the government’s set goals and objectives to achieve maximum results.

The Liberian Leader also cautioned the commissioned officials to forge a united front in mitigating challenges that affect the smooth operations of the respective entities.

At the same time, President Boakai has formally launched the Ear and Hearing Project at the John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Monrovia.

The project, among its key objectives, aims to find actionable solutions to curbing ear and hearing complications in Liberia.

Speaking at the program on Thursday, April 2, 2026, President Boakai emphasized the crucial role the project will play in achieving zero ear and hearing health-related problems.

The President believes that with support, the project will restore hope to people faced with the disease and improve healthcare services nationwide.

President Boakai launched the Rotary Club of Monrovia and Church AID Incorporated for donating several ear and hearing aids to support the workings of the Ministry of Health.

The Liberian Chief Executive described the move as a major milestone in buttressing the efforts of the government to improve the lives of citizens through improved healthcare services.
