U.S. Gov. Deports Twelve Liberian Nationals…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The United States Government has deported twelve Liberian nationals for several criminal offenses.

The deported persons were convicted of molestation of a minor, domestic violence, and failure to register as a sex offender.

In an ELBC interview on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, the Head of Communications at the Liberia Immigration Service (LIS), Laurie Massaquoi-Page, said, “The deportees were also convicted of aggravated assault, rape, robbery, burglary, larceny, resisting arrest, and child neglect”.

According to Madam Page, the deportees have since been handed over to the Liberia National Police for fingerprint identification, documentation, and background checks.

Meanwhile, the LIS Communications boss said the deportees will be released to their families under the supervision of the Liberia Immigration Service, after undergoing police documentation.
