MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah has urged public officials to avoid inflammatory statements that could create tension in the country, stressing the need for responsible leadership.
Minister Piah said,” National leaders are drivers of solution, not originators of conflict, and that public statements must reflect unity and stability at all times”.
He noted that inflammatory statements are not healthy for the country’s growth and development, especially when it comes to sensitive national matters.
Minister Piah also called on citizens to place national interest above political loyalty, urging all Liberians to work collectively in maintaining peace and stability.
The Ministry of Information boss was speaking on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at the Ministry of Information’s regular press briefing in Monrovia.
