MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Finance and Development Planning has launched its five–year Strategic Plan.
Speaking on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the ceremony in Congo Town, UN Resident Coordinator Christine Umutoni said the plan must impact the livelihoods of the people.
Madam Umutoni wants the Ministry work diligently to ensure the plan delivers all the needed services to every sector.
She noted that the development of Liberia does not revolve around a single Ministry or Agency, but requires the efforts of all government institutions, including partners.
Madam Umutoni also pledged the UN’s support to the Finance Ministry Strategic plan, noting that the Liberian government’s development agenda aligns with the United Nations framework.
Meanwhile, Finance Minister, Augustine Ngafuan, has termed the Ministry’s five–year strategic plan as a holistic framework.
Minister Ngafuan disclosed that the plan cuts across every sector of the governance structure, with the primary objectives to improve the well-being of Liberians.
He believes that when the government does not perform well in its service delivery agenda to the people, its failure will be attributed to the Finance Ministry.
The plan was launched under the theme, “Transforming Priorities into Strategies: The Pathway to Efficient Service Delivery.”
