69th Armed Forces Day Program Guest Speaker Pays Tribute to Liberian Army

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Guest Speaker of the 69th Armed Forces Day program, Gen. Waldi Shaibu, has paid tribute to the Liberian Army for its contributions to keeping peace in Liberia and the sub-region.

Gen. Shaibu praised the AFL for continually demonstrating professionalism in its contributions to nation-building.

He thanked West African states, the U.S., and other international partners for their immense support, which saw the rebuilding of the professional Armed Forces of Liberia.

He said,” The AFL stands as a shining example of what international and regional collaborations can achieve”.

He reminded the AFL that the citizens are looking up to them for survival and stability, and called for regional collaborations and tackling the growing drug trafficking in the Sahel region.
