Chinese Amb. to Liberia Assures of China-Liberia Project Advancement in Bong Mines

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ambassador of China to Liberia, Yin Chengwu, says the China-Liberia Bong Mines is advancing the project implementation, setting a model for win-win cooperation between both countries.

Ambassador Yin assured workers of the company about the management’s commitment to work safety, adherence to laws and regulations, and fulfilling its Social Corporate Responsibilities.

The Chinese Ambassador made the commitment when he paid a courtesy visit to the China-Liberia Bong Mines project site.

He said,” He said the project has employed a total of five hundred sixty Liberian nationals, and is creating significant local employment opportunities, and contributing positively to community development”.

A statement from the Chinese Embassy says, as part of the visit, Ambassador Yin inspected the production lines, the port area, and other facilities, and engaged in exchanges with on-site personnel.

Meanwhile, the Company’s representative expressed appreciation for the Ambassador’s visit, noting that the Company would carry out all aspects of its work and ensure high-quality and efficient production.
