MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Executive Director of the Rural Renewable Energy Agency (RREA), Samuel Nagbe, has outlined key achievements for 2025.
Director Nagbe named effective communication, inter-government partnership, and the launch of the Battery Energy Storage Project in Lofa County as some areas of intervention.
The RREA Executive Director listed Buchanan, Barclayville, as some local capitals that are experiencing real-time energy supply.
Speaking on the “Super Morning Show” on Friday, January 2, 2026, Nagbe revealed that the road pavement of the 9.35-megawatt power from the Gbedin dam is being carried out.
He thanked the Office of the Vice President, Public Works, and the Ministry of Finance for their collaboration over the year.
At the same time, the Executive Director of the RREA said the entity is partnering with Energy Companies to provide jobs for Liberians.
According to him, the outcome has been fruitful over the year, where local Liberian entrepreneurs have been empowered.
