The Martha Tubman Stadium in Harper City, Maryland county will shortly benefit bucket seats as Youth and Sports Minister Cllr. Cole Bangalu has announced.
Minister Bangalu at the formal opening ceremony of the 2025/2026 National County Sports meet Saturday, informed Marylanders that government through the Sports Ministry will leave marks of development at venues hosting the opening ceremonies of the County meet.
He said as done in Cape Mount last term; the Martha Tubman stadium mini stand will get bucket seats to improve the development of the stadium.
“Gone should be the days when we come and participate in a tournament on a field that is delipidated and we leave it like that” Min. Cole Bangalu says.
The pronouncement sent Marylanders in jubilations; shouting “Thank you Minister”. 
Minister Bangalu said in keeping with the 2025/2026 National County Sports Meet, “Inclusive development through sports”, government through the Youth and Sports will supply the bucket seats for the stadium.
The Sports Minister said the bucket seats installation will be the beginning adding, “Our desire is to work with the Liberia Football Association (LFA) so that under their FIFA 3.0 project, we can do everything possible just as we did for Cape Mount to see eventually if the artificial turf can also be brought here”.
Minister Cole said the National County Sports Meet is more than a competition. He described the tournament as a powerful symbol of peace, inclusion and national pride.
The Youth and Sports Minister made the remarks at the official opening ceremony of the 29th edition of the National County Sports Meet in Harper city, Maryland County.
