MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Agriculture has begun rehabilitating eighteen rural community roads in Lofa County, as part of efforts to make farm-to-market roads accessible.
The Ministry is implementing the project under its Tree Crops Extension Project, sponsored by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
According to a release, the rehabilitation works will cover about 144 kilometers of feeder roads in Salayea, Voinjama, Kolahun, Zorzor, Quardu-Gboni, and Foya Districts.
Speaking on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the launch of the project, Minister of Agriculture Alexander Nuetah reaffirmed the Government of Liberia’s commitment to addressing Liberia’s persistent farm-to-market road challenges.
Minister Nuetah also assured that the construction of the roads will align with the Ministry of Public Works’ national standards to ensure sustainability and long-term impact.
