MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia has officially launched this year’s National Agriculture Fair (NAF), setting December 9 as the commencement date in Ganta, Nimba County.

NAF is an annual event that showcases Liberia’s agricultural achievements, promotes local farmers, and provides a platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and innovation.

The Minister of Agriculture, Alxander Nuetah, told the MICAT Regular Press Briefing on Tuesday, November 3, 2025, that this year’s fair will be attended by the Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organization, Qu Dongyu.

Dr. Nuetah disclosed that a high-power delegation from the U.S. will also grace the event, as part of efforts to leverage investment opportunities for farmers.

Meanwhile, Minister Alexander Nuetah has reaffirmed the Government of Liberia’s continued commitment to supporting farmers in the country to make Liberia self-sufficient in food production.
