MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Public Works has set Wednesday, October 15, as the official commencement date for a nationwide campaign for road rehabilitation, maintenance, and construction projects.
The Ministry emphasized the strategic importance of utilizing the Dry Season to achieve significant progress that will improve Liberia’s road infrastructure.
At a meeting with contractors, Public Works Minister Roland Giddings thanked the firms for their steadfast commitment to Liberia’s development.
Also speaking, the Deputy Minister of Public Works for Technical Services, Prince Tamba, urged the contractors to ensure that all projects are executed within the stipulated timeframes.
Responding, the contractors commended the Ministry of Public Works for its effective stewardship and pledged their full commitment to achieving the Sector’s goals.
They also expressed their appreciation for the Ministry’s organized approach and clear directives under the leadership of Minister Roland Giddings.
The contractors then committed to supporting the Ministry’s aims and objectives for the critical infrastructure period, stressing their readiness to mobilize and begin massive construction and rehabilitation works beginning Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
