MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Board of Trustees of the Lofa County University has released a resolution regarding recent media reports of the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission’s (LACC) indictment against certain members of the Board and employees of the University.
The Board, following its emergency meeting on September 3, 2025, resolved that it reaffirms its full confidence in the integrity of the University, the leadership, and the lawful workings and decisions of the Board and employees as a whole.
This further reaffirms the fundamental principle that any individual member facing legal challenges is entitled to the presumption of innocence and the full due process of law under the jurisdiction of the courts.
The University Board of Trustees, therefore, concludes that any member affected by such a matter should seek independent legal counsel to address their personal legal implications.
In the resolution approved by its Board Chairman, Rev. Dr. Victor Padmore, the Board, however, vowed to closely monitor the situation and will later convene to take appropriate actions, pursuant to receipt of official notification from competent legal authorities.
