Liberia Electricity Corporation Completes Gap Community Electrification Project in Rural Montserrado County

MONTSERRADO COUNTY, LIBERIA-The Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) has completed the Gap Community Electrification Project in Unification Town, Rural Montserrado County.

The milestone underscores the LEC’s ongoing commitment to expanding electricity access to underserved communities.

The G-CEP is a strategic, self-funded initiative led by the LEC Management Team, aimed at connecting communities previously left out of the initial electrification effort.

The project has connected about seventeen rural communities across the county.

The electrification project began on April 17, 2025, and was completed on July 22, this year, with an investment of sixty-eight thousand nine hundred twenty-six US dollars.

Meanwhile, Unification Town Chief Abraham Gbanjah thanked the LEC for the initiative.
