Gov. of Liberia Promises to Enforce Civil Law Court’s Eviction Order against Congress for Democratic Change…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia has vowed to enforce the Civil Law Court’s decision to evict the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) from its headquarters in Congo Town.

 The property belongs to the late Martha Stubberfield.

The Court officially approved the eviction on Monday, August 4, 2025, after a week-long legal process.

Addressing MICAT’s Press Briefing on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, in Monrovia, Deputy Information Minister for Press and Public Affairs, Daniel Sando, reassured the public that the government will enforce the Court’s decision when needed.

Minister Sando admonished the CDC, as a former ruling party, to respect the law and comply with the eviction order.

The Deputy Information Minister also emphasized that the government remains committed to upholding the law without bias.
