MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia has been ranked among the top performers in the African Development Bank’s 2024 Electricity Regulatory Index.
The achievement highlights the country’s growing impact, sustained reforms, and strong political commitment to advancing the Energy Sector.
The newly released Index unveiled that during the 2025 Africa Energy Forum in Cape Town, South Africa, Liberia achieved a score of “0.800” and moved up one position from 10th in 2022 to 9th place among forty-three participating African Countries.
LERC’s Acting Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, Atty. Kla-Edward Toomey said Liberia’s advancement in the ERI rankings underscores the Country’s continued commitment to the electricity sector reform and the implementation of effective regulatory practices.
Atty. Toomey said Liberia remains committed to deepening regulatory efficiency, transparency, and collaboration across all levels of the energy sector.
