In another development, the Monrovia City Court has issued a Writ of Subpoena on Stella Maris University in connection with the criminal case involving two students of the university.
The action of the court was triggered by a submission from prosecuting lawyers to compel the university to surrender its internal investigation report that prompted the March 31, 2025, incident between two students.
Before the court’s subpoena, Stella Maris University’s report suspended three students, including the victim, Jumel Cassell, and the defendant Kindness Wilson, where Jumel Cox bullied Kindness on social media.
The report indicated that Jumel posted demeaning content about Kindness and her family on the platform, which led to her assault, while defendant Kindness was suspended, Wilson said she was provoked by Jumel Cox on the campus of Stella Maris University on Capitol Hill.
