Unity Party Alliance Endorses Rep. Kogar in Nimba County Senator By-Election

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Unity Party (UP) Alliance has endorsed Representative Samuel Kogar as its candidate for the upcoming Nimba County Senatorial by-election.

According to the UP Alliance, the decision reflects the commitment of its members to support individuals who embody the principles of service to the nation and community development.

Reading the Alliance’s position statement, UP National Advisory Council Secretary, Mohammed Ali, said:” The resolution was reached based on extensive consultations with party leaders, stakeholders, and grassroots supporters in Nimba County.”

Mr. Ali noted that the UP Alliance believes Representative Kogar is a distinguished lawmaker with extensive experience in legislative politics, and as such, he is best suited for the seat.

Meanwhile, the UP Alliance is urging all partisans, members, sympathizers, and citizens of Nimba County to rally behind Representative Kogar and cast their votes in his favor.

At the same time, the Alliance has called on its local chapters in Nimba County to mobilize and summon all resources and logistics in support of the UP-Alliance candidate, aiming for a more prosperous and progressive Nimba County.

Representative Samuel Kogar expressed his deep appreciation for the UP’s support in response to his endorsement.

He emphasized his commitment to collaborating closely with the UP Alliance and the UP to advance the interests of Nimba County and the nation as a whole.

During the ceremony, Representative Kogar reflected on the strong relationship he has fostered with the UP, and conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to President Joseph Boakai for his support.

The event was marked by the presence of several high-ranking government officials, including Vice President Jeremiah.
