Liberia Council of Churches Distances Itself from Social Media Story…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Council of Churches (LCC) has distanced itself from a story circulating on social media, quoting it as criticizing the Government of Liberia for purchasing an alleged expensive vehicle for the Presidency.

Recently, a story circulated the social media, particularly Facebook, referencing the LCC to criticize the government for purchasing a vehicle that is believed to be worth over four hundred thousand US Dollars for the President.

But reacting, LCC Secretary General, Dr. Christopher Toe, described the story as fake news.

Dr. Toe termed the release as a calculated attempt to besmear its image.

Dr. Christopher Toe challenged the story’s author to come clean by using their real names and stop misusing the logo and photo of the Council’s President.
