Liberian Gov. Reacts to Fmr. Pres. Weah’s Social Media Post of Alleged Reports of Insecurity in Liberia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Government has reacted to Former President George Weah’s social media post alleging that there are increasing reports of insecurity in the Country.

Former President Weah also alleged that the rule of law in Liberia continues to be violated under the new administration, describing the political rigmarole at the House of Representatives as suggestive.

But, speaking on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at MICAT Regular Press in Monrovia, Deputy Information Minister for Press and Public Affairs, Daniel Sando, termed the Former Liberian Leader’s statement as baseless.

According to Minister Sando, the statement made by former President George Weah on social media is unfounded because it does not have any iota of truth.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Information Minister for Press and Public Affairs has reaffirmed the Liberian Government’s strong determination to improve the living conditions of the Liberian people.
