Public Works Ministry Begins 45-kilometer Urban Community Laterite Road Rehabilitation

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Public Works Ministry has embarked on the construction of a 45-kilometer urban community laterite road rehabilitation project in Montserrado and Margibi Counties.

The project targeting several communities in the two areas is beginning with the construction of a 2-kilometer road linking the SKD Sports Complex Community to the GSA Road Community.

Speaking Thursday at the official groundbreaking ceremony in Paynesville, Public Works Minister, Roland Giddings committed the government to ensuring that community dwellers have access to good roads.

 Minister Giddings also projected a massive transformation in Liberia’s road infrastructure in the next three years.

Meanwhile, citizens of the respective areas have lauded the government and the Public Works Ministry for the initiative.
