Gov. of Liberia Confirms Arrival of Two Senior Forensic Experts from UK

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia has confirmed the visit of two senior experts from the Forensic Technologies International Consulting (FTI) in the UK.

The visit of the experts marks a major step in Liberia’s efforts to trace and recover assets acquired through illicit means.

At the MICAT Regular Press Briefing on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, Deputy Information Minister for Press and Public Affairs, Daniel Sando, said:” The two experts are expected to arrive in the country today.”

According to Minister Sando, those expected include Andrew Durant and Wayne Anthony, highlighting FTI Consulting’s commitment to supporting Liberia’s efforts to recover stolen funds.

He, however, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to trace, recover and prosecute assets through the Assets Recovery and Property Retrieval Task Force.
