Deputy Education Minister Terms Education As Best tool…

RIVER GEE COUNTY, LIBERIA-Deputy Education Minister for Instruction Amos Fully has termed education as the best tool to solve societal problems and discourage destructive demonstrations. The 

Deputy Minister fully stressed the need for unity and collaboration within the Webbo Rural Teacher Training Institute (WRTTI) to achieve positive outcomes.

According to him, the Ministry of Education considers it essential to provide adequate support for educators, including salary increases and employment incentives, among others.

Deputy Minister Full also called for continued collaboration with partners, including UNICEF and the Cata Center, to address educational challenges in Liberia.

Deputy Minister Amos Fully made the remarks at programs marking the induction of Mr. Antonio Zayzay as Director of the Webbo Rural Teacher Training Institute (WRTTI in River Gee County.

In a related development, the newly inducted Director of WRTTI in River Gee County, Mr. Antonio Zayzay, described education as a cornerstone for development, particularly in rural areas.

Director Zayzay underscored the importance of fostering dedicated, innovative, and community-driven teachers to inspire future generations.

He detailed the ongoing renovation of staff quarters and academic offices, the provision of modern teaching materials such as whiteboards, and the establishment of a school fund to support the Institute, among other initiatives.

According to him, the contributions of partners like UNICEF and the Cata Center continued to make a significant impact, thus calling for renewed collaboration to address educational challenges and improve the quality of education in Liberia.

The newly inducted WRTTI Director reaffirmed his commitment to lead with integrity, honesty, and dedication to the institution’s policies.
