Pres. Boakai Reassures Liberians…

GBARPOLU COUNTY, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has reassured citizens of the Liberian Government’s commitment to uplifting their living conditions.

President Boakai said:” The government remains upbeat to providing citizens with all the basic social services for the them to thrive.”

The Liberian Leader made the commitment at the dedicatory ceremony of a mini water supply facility in Gbarpolu County on Wednesday, February 26,2025.

President Boakai believes that the water supply facility will increase citizens access to safe and reliable drinking water in the area, disclosing plans to construct several of the water plants across the country as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to improving the livelihood of the people.

President Joseph Boakai lauded the Management of the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation for the initiative that aims to connect with safe and chlorinated water.

At the same time, LWSC Managing Director Mohammed Ali says the entity remains committed to the provision of pipe borne water across the capital of the fifteen counties.

Mr. Ali recounted the allotment of two hundred fifty thousand US dollars in the National Budget for the provision of pipe borne water through the Gbarpolu County Legislative Caucus.

He said:” The city has a 4inch pipe line that runs 1.37 kilometer across Bopolu City.”

Mr. Ali then paid tribute to Gbarpolu County Senator, Amara Konneh and Superintendent Sam Zinnah for ensuring the construction of the 750 ft depth well by the Tender Construction Company.

Meanwhile, Mr. Ali has disclosed plans for the construction of water treatment facilities in Maryland, Sinoe, and Grand Gedeh Counties.
