Agriculture Ministry Presents Motorbikes, Vehicles to Agricultures Officers

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The- The Agriculture Ministry has presented dozens of motorbikes and ten vehicles to agriculture officers in Liberia to enhance mobility.

The motorbikes and ten vehicles were presented to forty district agriculture coordinators, ten county agriculture coordinators, and five regional coordinators, respectively.

Speaking on Thursday, February 27, 2025, during the turnover ceremony in Congo Town, Agriculture Minister Dr. Alexander Nuetah urged recipients of the items to be robust in the discharge of their duties.

Minister Nuetah wants Agriculture Coordinators across the Country to work diligently with passion to help the government enhance food production across the fifteen counties.

Meanwhile, the agriculture minister has praised the government and partners for their continued support to the ministry to reduce hunger.

At the same time, Minister Nuetah has disclosed ongoing plans to put district agriculture coordinators on the government payroll.

The agriculture minister said,” The Civil Service Agency (CSA) has already agreed to jumpstart the process effectively next month.

Minister Nuetah cautioned recipients of the items against acts of corruption while carrying out their duties.

He noted that any agriculture coordinator caught in acts of corruption would be dismissed, as such behavior undermines public trust and national development.
