Pres. Boakai to Dedicate Mini Water Supply System in Bopolu, Gbarpolu County

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai will, on Wednesday, February 26, dedicate a mini-water supplied system in Bopolu, Gbarpolu County.

The System, which is a fully government-sponsored project, will now enable citizens to register with the Liberia Water Sewer Corporation for water supply in their various homes.

LWSC Managing Director, Mohammed Ali made the disclosure Tuesday in Monrovia at MICAT’s Press briefing.

Meanwhile, Mr. Ali is calling on the Public Works Ministry for a collaborative effort in marking and demolishing structures currently built on the sewer and water line, especially in Montserrado County.

According to him, the LWSC has the full right to carry out such demolition, noting that the government has already paid those that were found in the sewer line.

He attributed persistent sewage leakage in the streets to structures that are within the waterline across Monrovia.

Mr. Ali maintained that the entity will not hesitate to demolish any structures that will be found in the LWSC waterline, warning citizens to desist from building in the sewer line.
