Foreign Minister Beysolow-Nyanti Commissions Two Liberian Diplomats…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow Nyanti has officially commissioned Baba Sillah as Minister Plenipotentiary and Deputy Permanent Representative of Liberia to the UN, and Johnnie Fallah as Consul General at the Consulate of Liberia in Dakhla, Morocco.

The commissioning of both officials was carried out by the Dean of the Cabinet on behalf of President Joseph Boakai recently.

Minister Nyanti noted that President Boakai, who is the Chief Architect of Liberia’s foreign policy, approved the appointments as part of his broader plan to promote economic development and prosperity for all Liberians.

She expressed deep appreciation for the exemplary services rendered by both diplomats in their previous capacities and encouraged them to continue their dedication and commitment in their new roles.

The Foreign Minister also acknowledged the teamwork with Deputy Foreign Minister Cllr. Deweh Gray, who is responsible for the Foreign Service, in selecting qualified candidates for the vital positions.

The Chief Liberian Diplomat highlighted the significance of economic diplomacy in creating job opportunities for youth, which will assist them in building sustainable futures in Liberia.

Also speaking, Deputy Foreign Minister, Cllr. Deweh Gray highlighted the strategic importance of Mr. Fallah’s role in Dakhla, describing it as a new mission with great potential to strengthen Liberia-Morocco relations.

 

Minister Gray also expressed confidence in Mr. Sillah’s capability to enhance Liberia’s presence at the United Nations, drawing on his extensive experience and administrative skills.

In his remarks, Mr. Johnnie Fallah conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to Foreign Minister Nyanti, the Ministry, and President Boakai for the opportunity entrusted to him.

He committed to actively promoting economic and business partnerships between Liberia and Morocco for their mutual benefit.

Meanwhile, Mr. Baba Sillah underscored the vital role of the Foreign Service in advancing Liberia’s national interests in key areas such as health, education, and agriculture.

He concluded by reiterating his commitment to serving Liberia and supporting the government’s agenda under the respected leadership of Foreign Minister Nyanti and President Boakai.
