Pres. Boakai Consoles Namibia for Former President Nujoma’s Death

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has consoled the Government and people of Namibia following the death of that country’s former President, Sam Nujoma.

Mr. Nujoma died on Saturday, February 8, this year at the age of ninety-five.

According to a Foreign Ministry release issued, President Boakai, on behalf of Liberia, expressed profound sadness and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family for the irreparable loss sustained.

In his condolence message to President Nangolo Mbumba President Boakai stressed that former President Nujoma will be remembered for the formidable role he played in consolidating the embodied Africa’s struggle for a sustained multi-party democracy.

The Liberian Leader also stated that the former President will also be credited for transforming his country’s veritable wetland of conflict after the liberation struggle into a promising stable country.

He then hoped that the resilience and strength that the people of Namibia have always demonstrated during challenging circumstances would be brought to bear during this difficult period of national mourning.
