Montserrado County Senator Dillon Reaffirms Commitment…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Montserrado County Senator Abraham Darius Dillon has reaffirmed his commitment to the rehabilitation and reintegration of disadvantaged youths across the country.

Senator Dillon said:” It is unfortunate to see Liberian youths who should be the future leaders in such a condition that cannot afford them to make meaningful decisions.”

The Montserrado County Senator noted that he will continue to use a portion of his salary as promised, for the detoxification and reintegration of disadvantaged Liberians.

Senator Dillon disclosed that the program is expected to be extended to Grand Bassa County with the support of Senate Protemp Nyonblee Karngar-Lawrence and other well-meaning citizens.

Senator Darius Dillon made the statement on Friday, January 31, 2025, at a program marking the fifth transitional and detoxification of thirteen females in the Cooper Farm Community in Paynesville City.

Meanwhile, beneficiaries of the rehabilitation program have commended Senator Dillon for the initiative.

The Center for Rehabilitation and Reintegration was established by Senator Dillon to ensure that disadvantaged youths are rehabilitated and reintegrated into Liberian society.

Two of the clients, Jameslu Tucolon and Jacyatta Jacobs, vowed not to return to their ugly past.

They noted that the situation made them be rejected by their families and others, and as such, they will use skills acquired from the center to make a difference in society.

While at the center, the beneficiaries acquired vocational skills in soap making, tie-dye, baking, and tailoring, among others.
