University of Liberia President Discloses Plans to Advance Academic Excellence…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The President of the University of Liberia (UL), Dr. Layli Maparyan, says plans are underway to advance academic excellence at the University.

On ELBC’s Super Morning Show Wednesday, January 22, 2025, Dr. Maparyan named education, effectiveness, efficiency, excellence, and a system of principles as some key instruments that will drive the institution’s vision.

The UL President noted that her administration envisages a predictable calendar where students know exactly the start and end times of their studies at the UL.

Dr. Maparyan also believes that with vision and teamwork, the UL can achieve much more, despite the nationality in charge, while disclosing plans to connect the UL Faculty and Staff to ensure that such vision is achieved.

According to the UL Sixteenth President, credential audit is necessary to ensure that everyone is in the right place and the curriculum aligns with international standards and the development plans of the country.

Meanwhile. Maparyan promised to maintain student politics but ensure that disruptive and disrespectful behaviors are not tolerated, adding that one can express political views without being disruptive.
