Institutions of Liberian Gov. Advance Key Policies

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Several Government institutions are advancing key policies to combat corruption in the maritime sector of Liberia.

The entities include the Iberia Maritime Authority, the Liberia Revenue Authority, the National Port Authority, and the Liberia Immigration Service.

In a release Wednesday, Liberia Maritime Authority Commissioner, Cllr. Neto Lighe, called for actionable reforms to enhance the governance structure of the Country.

Cllr. Lighe believes such an endeavor if achieved, will boost service delivery and align with President Joseph Boakai’s broader anti-corruption agenda.

Meanwhile, Liberia Maritime Authority Director of Finance, Michael Cooper, wants a transparent payment system prioritized in the sector.
