Financial Intelligence Agency of Liberia Gives 72-Hour Ultimatum to MedTech Scientific Limited…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Financial Intelligence Agency (FIA) of Liberia has given a seventy-two-hour ultimatum to MedTech Scientific Limited to justify the company’s reported failure to submit requested information to the entity timely.

According to an FIA release, MedTech did not meet the institution’s deadline of December 13, last year, to provide critical information and documents on its operations in Liberia, covering January to December 2024.

The release noted that the company again refused to honor its January 7, 2025 deadline as contained in the FIA’s December 18, 2024 communication.

Meanwhile, the FIA has termed the company’s actions as defiant and willful disregard to the statutory powers and authority of its Act of 2021.

Section 67.3 of the Act empowers the Agency, among other things, to request and receive information to carry out its functions.
