Liberia Broadcasting System News Department Honors Frederick Teegwiah, Jr…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The News Department of the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS) has honored Frederick Teegwiah, Jr. as ‘Newsroom Staff of the Year’ for his dedicated services rendered to the department.

The honoring event, which took place in the LBS Newsroom on Monday, December 30, 2024, was attended by several members of the department, as well as staff of the Radio Department.

During the ceremony, the Director of News, Anthony Vawen, praised Mr. Teegwiah for his unwavering dedication and diligent efforts and encouraged fellow journalists to pursue similar excellence in their work.

In response, Mr. Teegwiah thanked his colleagues and the LBS Management for recognizing his contributions over the years.

He emphasized that the honor has motivated him to be more dedicated to his responsibilities.

At the same time, Veteran Liberian Journalist John Sheriff has urged the Liberia Broadcasting System staff, particularly young journalists, to recognize and cultivate their talents.

Currently, working with ECOWAS Radio, Mr. Sheriff, who previously hosted a program called “Talent Find”, emphasized the importance of identifying one’s inherent skills, saying that Liberians are richly endowed with talents.

Mr. Sheriff believes these talents can significantly contribute to Liberia’s growth and development.
