Donfah Town Gets Modern Solar Power Water Facility

BONG COUNTY, LIBERIA-A modern solar power water facility valued over eighty-three thousand US Dollars has been dedicated in Donfah Town, Bong County.

The UNDP-sponsored project under its Accelerated Development Program will benefit more than two thousand inhabitants with clean and safe drinking water.

UNDP Deputy Resident Representative Louis Kuukpen cautioned the citizens to use the water facility to promote peace and reconciliation within the community.

Mr. Kuukpen said:” The kiosk will enable women entrepreneurs to establish small businesses for the upkeep of the water facility.”

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony over the weekend, he said:” The water facility is expected to reduce the vulnerability faced by women, girls, and children traveling long distances to fetch water.”
