Rep. Goshua Challenges Gov. of Liberia to Prioritize Drug Fight

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Grand Bassa County District-Five Representative Thomas Goshua wants the Government of Liberia to prioritize the fight against drug to ensure that young people have a better future.

Representative Goshua stressed that the country is at risk if nothing is done to facilitate the rehabilitation and reintegration of disadvantaged youths.

The Chairperson on Drug, Rehabilitation and Reintegration at the House of Representatives described the issue as alarming, noting that over twenty percent of Liberia’s population is hooked on drug and other harmful substances.

He pledged to continue pushing for rehabilitation centers like the Destiny Recovery Program to be included on the national budget.

On Friday, November 29,2024, at the dedication of the Destiny Recovery Program facility and the 20th family reunion and graduation program in Monrovia, Representative Goshua said:” The effect of drug abuse is a call for action in every society.”
