Ethiopian Airlines to Resume flights to Liberia

ETHIOPIA-Top Liberian Government officials, including Liberia’s Transport Minister Sirleaf Tyler, are in the Ethiopian Capital, Addis Ababa, to participate in a formal departure ceremony of the Ethiopian Airlines inaugural flight to Liberia.

The ultra-modern Flight ET933 a Boeing 737 aircraft is set to depart Addis Ababa International Airport, with about 245 seats already booked, and seventy percent of the passengers bound for Monrovia.

President Joseph Boakai will, on tomorrow November 30,2024, along with other officials of Government, officially launch the inaugural flight of the Ethiopian Airlines at the Roberts International Airport in Margibi County.

The event, which coincides with the Liberian Leader’s 80th Birth Anniversary, will witness the cutting of ribbon by the President, along with Ethiopian Airlines Chief Executive Officer, Mesfin Tassew.

Since the departure from Liberia in 2011, the reintroduction of the flights to Monrovia, according to the Airline’s CEO, is targeted towards supporting Liberia’s socio-economic growth, underscoring the Airline’s dedication to bridging communities and fostering economic growth in Africa.
