MONROVIA, LIBERIA-EU Ambassador to Liberia, Nona Deprez, wants the Liberian Government to take the lead in subsidizing the Office of Climate Integration and Financing of Liberia.

Ambassador Deprez believes that such approach, if considered by the Government, will encourage development partners to contribute to the fight against climate change.

Speaking on Monday, November 25,2024, when the Office of Climate Integration and Financing was launched in Paynesville City, she described the move as crucial.

The EU Envoy, however, commended the Liberian Government for setting up the Office, stating that the initiative will further intensify the fight against climate change in the country.

She said:” The launch of the Office is timely, especially when the policymakers recently met in Baku, Azerbaijan, to lobby for funding to address climate change in their respective countries.
