NIMBA COUNTY, LIBERIA-A Fifty-year old man has pleaded guilty for chopping off the hand of a twenty-seven-year-old woman in Nimba County.

Suspect Daniel Tokpa pleaded guilty following his first appearance in court and has asked the victim’s family for forgiveness.

Police preliminary investigation revealed that the accused chopped off the hand of the victim on grounds that she had passed through his yard without greeting him.

Police Investigation also revealed that prior to the incident; the victim and the accused have had series of quarrel.

Suspect Tokpa has been charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault, and is expected to appear in court soon for hearing.
