MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Authorities of the Ministries of Health and Education have outlined constraints and challenges faced by their respective entities.

The Ministries of Health and Education, Doctors Louis Kpoto and Jarso Jallah named systemic, financial and operational issues as some of the major concerns of their sectors.

They respective heads of both ministries jointly appeared before the Liberian Senate Committee of the Whole on Thursday, November 14, 2024, and highlighted low salaries for educators and health workers nationwide.

The Ministries said the issue of low incentives for teachers and health workers need to be addressed by the Liberian Government as a way of adding value to the sectors.

Drs. Louis Kpoto and Jarso Jallah disclosed that the sectors will improve if the Government and partners take immediate actions to address financial constraints faced by the two sectors.
