Pres. Boakai Suspends Liberia Immigration Service Commissioner General…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has suspended the Commissioner General of the Liberia Immigration Service, Stephen Zargo for improper handling of official duties.

An Executive Mansion release issued recently said Commissioner Zargo is suspended from duty without pay for a three-month period.

During his suspension, Commissioner Zargo has been mandated to turn over all official materials, assets and office accessories to the entity’s Deputy Commissioner General for Administration, Elijah Rufus, who will assume responsibilities of the institution during this period.

The suspension reflects President Boakai’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and accountability among public servants.

President Joseph Boakai remains dedicated to strengthening the Government of Liberia regarding their duty to serve with honor and diligence.
