Rubber Dev. Fund Inc., Partners End First All-Inclusive Nat’l Conference in Gbarnga

BONG COUNTY, LIBERIA-The Rubber Development Fund Incorporated and partners have ended its first all-inclusive National Conference in Gbarnga, Bong County.

The gathering which is aimed at improving the Rubber Industry in strengthening the plantations, productions and ensuring its contribution to the Liberian Economy.

According to a release issued recently, over two hundred farmers from across the country called on the Government of Liberia to invest in the development of farms to ensure the improvement in the Rubber Sector.

Meanwhile, a leading smallholder rubber farm, Charles Allen, has attributed the decline state of the Rubber Sector to the unfair market price control by Firestone-Liberia and the Liberia Agriculture Company.

Mr. Charles Allen blamed the deteriorating state of the Rubber Sector of Liberia to the lack of interest and investment in the Sector of the country.
