Gov. of Liberia to Train Additional 25,000 Liberian Youths…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia has disclosed plans to train additional twenty-five thousand Liberian youth under its digital transformation program next year.

Making the disclosure at the Youth and Sports Ministry on Wednesday, November 6,2024, Liberia Telecommunications Authority Acting Chairman, Abdullah Kamara, said:” The goal is to empower youth for the digital market.

Mr. Kamara was speaking when he presented more than twenty pieces of laptop computers, including two 25KVA generators to the Ministry of Youth and Sports on behalf of the Liberian Government.

He also provided a cheque of eight-thousand US Dollars for the renovation of the Ministry’s service centers across the country.

The Liberia Telecommunications Authority Acting Chairman, Abdullah Kamara, then assured the public of the Government’s commitment to provide training for millions of Liberian youths in the coming years.

Meanwhile, the Youth and Sports Minister, Cllr. Cole Bangalu, said:” The gesture demonstrates the Government’s readiness to empower young people.”

Minister Bangalu extolled the Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA) for the initiative.

He described the move as timely, saying that it will go a long way in empowering the young people for the digital market.

Minister Bangalu also praised the Liberia National Student Union, Mano River Union Youth Parliament and Federation of Liberia Youth for their support during phase one of the digital transformation program.

Youth and Sports Minister, Cllr. Cole Bangalu, is, however, encouraging young people to take advantage of the next circle of the program to unlock their full potential.
