Liberia Telecom Authority Clarifies……

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Telecommunication Authority (LTA) has clarified it has not authorized any individual or business entity to provide telecommunications services using Starlink products.

The LTA’s statement comes amid reports in the public that some individuals and businesses are selling Starlink products and services to Liberians, ahead of the official launch of the Company in the country.

According to the report, individuals and businesses involved in the alleged sale of Starlink products and services in the country are claiming to be authorized dealers of the company.

In a release issued on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, the LTA cautioned those allegedly involved in the act to desist or face the full force of the law as such behavior is prohibited.

Meanwhile, the LTA has reaffirmed its commitment to protecting consumers and safeguarding the telecommunications’ market of Liberia.
