World Bank, Int’l Fund for Agri. Dev. Conclude Joint Technical, Field Supervision Mission…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The World Bank and International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) have concluded a joint technical and field supervision mission for Smallholder Agriculture Transformation and Agribusiness Revitalization Project (STAR-P).

The Star-P Project, under the Ministry of Agriculture, aims to improve livelihood and food security for smallholder farmers in Liberia.

A release says the Joint Technical and Field Supervision Mission was intended to gather firsthand information on progress made by the STAR-P project in the Country’s Agriculture Sector.

It quotes the Ministry of Agriculture as saying the move further signifies the World Bank and the International Fund for Agricultural Development’s commitment to enhancing food security in Liberia.

The Star-P Project is being implemented in Montserrado, Bomi, Grand Cape Mount, Margibi, Bong, and Nimba Counties.
